A man and woman claimed to be with a mortgage company cleaning crew.
An Athens man told police that a man and a woman posing as a clean-out crew made off with $8,300 worth of items from his home — including computers, jewelry and TVs. Athens Clarke County Police say the man confronted the couple as they were loading up a pickup truck. They told him they were with the mortgage company and were at the house because it was going into foreclosure. The mortgage company told the man no such action was ordered. Man says his former business partner threatened to kill him.
A dispute over paint led to an assault with a knife and a death threat on the owner of a Norcross business. The owner told police that his former business partner threatened to kill him and then tried to cut him with a pocket knife in the parking lot of the company. When the owner fought back and kicked the aggressor in the face, the ex-partner said he was going to hunt down the man’s family. The business owner told police the two men had fought before. He said the main reason for the attack was because he wouldn't let other man use his Sherwin Williams account. Man was standing in the yard with no shirt and sweatpants pulled down around his ankles.
Backyard flasher: Here’s something that will be hard to forget for a Winder-area homeowner — a 31-year-old man standing shirtless in the backyard with his pants pulled down to his ankles. According to a police report, the officer found a white male completely exposed wearing no shirt with sweatpants pulled down around his ankles. When the officer asked the suspect to pull up his pants, the man reportedly stood there nodding and shaking his head rapidly, not responding to the officer's questions. A man found walking around naked on a walking trail near a Norcross apartment complex didn’t seem too fazed by a Gwinnett County Police officer’s interest in finding out what he was doing. When the officer approached and identified himself, the man picked up a cup from the ground and poured water over his head, according to the police report. A Norcross woman told police another woman is so obsessed with her husband that the woman stole his tax information and is blackmailing her for money. The victim also said she’s been receiving threatening phone calls and texts from the woman, who allegedly pretended to be the wife to get hubby's tax info from the Internal Revenue Service.
