Man Clad Only in Underwear Causes Disturbance at Buford Hotel
Told police he woke up in the woods, set his clothes on fire and walked to the hotel.
A Buford man had more questions than answers for the police officers attempting to determine how he ended up in a hotel lobby nearly naked and bleeding from several scratches and cuts. Gwinnett County Police were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express on Satellite Boulevard just before 4 a.m. on Nov. 29 after a frightened clerk called 911 for help. According to the police report, the clerk heard a knock on the locked front door of the hotel at approximately 3:15 a.m. By the time the clerk reached the door, which can only be accessed by key holding guests during the overnight hours, there was no one to be seen.
