Couple Arrested in Connection With Road Rage Incident

Incident occurred near Old Cumming Road and Nelson Brogdon Boulevard.

A Nov. 28 road rage incident led to a minor accident and the arrest of a Sugar Hill couple. Police were dispatched to Old Cumming Road and Nelson Brogdon Boulevard after a Buford man called police to report that a female motorist had pointed a gun at him. According to the Buford man, he and a friend were driving to work when a woman, identified as Kimberly Dutton, 50, of Sugar Hill, pulled out of a driveway and nearly struck their vehicle. The Buford man said his friend had to swerve to avoid being struck by Dutton's vehicle. "[The Buford man] stated that Dutton became upset over the incident and pulled out a silver snub nosed 38 revolver and pointed it directly at him," the officer wrote in the report. Motorist Follows Woman Home After Obscene Gesture

Woman said she gave man “the middle finger” after he reportedly almost caused an accident.

An obscene gesture allegedly prompted a motorist to follow a Hamilton Mill woman to her home after a near accident on Hamilton Mill Parkway. The woman said a man driving a gray Dodge truck almost crashed into her vehicle on the parkway. According to the woman, the man then pulled his vehicle alongside hers and began swearing at her. The woman said after she gave the man “the middle finger,” he followed her home. The woman told Gwinnett County Police the man called her a “stupid idiot” and threatened to kill her.
