At the height of the frenzy of lottery ticket selling more than 100,000 tickets were being sold per hour. Those people who track these types of events announced that the odds were very high that anyone could win. I saw a number of 1 in 175,000,000 chances to win the jackpot. Knowing the odds were great against ever winning the grand prize did not keep people from flocking to the lottery outlets to take the chance they would walk away a millionaire. I found it interesting that the week when President Obama was planning and speaking at rallies, pushing for tax increases on the wealthy, that so many people were lining up to …

What Were the Winning Powerball Numbers?

Jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing was $588 million.

If you bought your Powerball ticket in Georgia, you did not win last night's $588 million jackpot. Two winning tickets were sold in the Nov. 28 Powerball lottery according to the Georgia Lottery website. Thirty-three people won $10,000 by matching four of the white balls plus the Powerball number. Each Powerball ticket cost $2. Players choose five numbers plus a sixth Powerball number. Players matching all six …

Hoschton Man Wins $1 Million in Georgia Lottery

Gwinnett County data manager takes home big prize in the Super Millions Second Chance Drawing.

A father of three who is no stranger to winning the lottery has struck it rich again. Hugh Hamley of Hoschton won $1 million in the Super Millions Second Chance drawing. In 2010, Hamley won $10,000 by participating in the Maximum Green Monthly Extra Chance Drawing.  “I got a call from a friend in Tennessee who saw my name on the news,” Hamley said in a released statement. “I checked on the computer, and I was antsy trying to figure out what to do.” With the million-dollar prize, Hamley is ready to start thinking about his retirement. “I’ve been thinking about the type of lifestyle I want to have when I retire,” he shared. “But I’m going to stick to my plan and continue working.” For more information on the Georgia Lottery Corp., visit www.…

I hope I can win a big lottery jackpot like that someday. I've been spending a lot of time studying patterns and mathematical probabilities, and I think it's entirely possible. I won $10,000 once using a system I found online (here's a review if you're interested: http://gamblingsystemreviews.net/lottery-method/ ) If you keep playing smart and not just picking completely random numbers, you'll …   more ›
