SEC Football Television Schedule: Nov. 24

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech, Alabama vs. Auburn and more big games this weekend.

It’s rivalry weekend and this year the stakes are even higher than ever in several games.

In the SEC East, No. 3 Georgia is heading to the SEC championship, but cannot afford to stumble against in-state rival Georgia Tech. The Dawgs are in the hunt not only for a SEC title, but for the national championship and cannot let the Yellow Jackets trip them up at this stage in the game. The game will be televised on ESPN at noon.

The Georgia game is not the only one with possible BCS championship implications. Also in the SEC East, No. 4 Florida plays No. 10 Florida State. Though the Gators will not go to the SEC title game, a big win on Saturday and a Notre Dame loss could give Florida a chance at the big prize (see video). Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ABC.

Without question, one of the biggest, most contentious rivalries in all of college football is the one between Alabama and Auburn. Tide and Tiger fans will converge in Tuscaloosa this Saturday for the Iron Bowl, which will have added meaning this year as No. 2 Bama can secure a spot in the SEC championship with a win. The Crimson Tide, like Florida and Georgia, is also well-positioned to make a bid for a national championship and a big win will keep those hopes alive.

The Tigers come to Tuscaloosa winless in the SEC and with head coach Gene Chizik’s future employment with Auburn very much in doubt. Alabama is a 33-point favorite heading into the game and barring some major catastrophe should clinch the SEC West by the end of the day.

The game will be televised on CBS at 3:30 p.m.

Other SEC games to be televised Nov. 24 include (All times are ET):

*No. 7 LSU played Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 23. Final score: LSU 20, Arkansas 13
