Can Buford Softball Champs be Side-Swiped?

With six consecutive state wins for the Lady Wolves softball team, it may prove difficult to throw them off their game.

The Lady Wolves' softball team has won the state championship six years in a row -- yes, six -- and, now they are vying for a record-making seven.

Can they be topped? Their winning streak says no.

"Can't wait to do it again in 2013! Seven straight!!!," said Carla Hasty, on the team's Facebook page. She is the mother of varsity player Remington Hasty.

Many key players are returning, including Niki Cook, who was named the Georgia Dugout Club's AAA State Player of the Year in January. And, those key players could be the key to another state win.

See the Lady Wolves play in their first varsity game against Mill Creek on Aug. 14.Β
