Buford Wins, Will Play for 10th State Football Title

Wolves take out Callaway in the semis, look to defending football title.

Buford High School will play for its 10th state football championship in school history.

The undefeated Wolves (14-0) advanced to the Georgia High School Association Class 3A championship game with a 24-14 win over Callaway Friday, Dec. 6, at Tom Riden Stadium in Buford, according to GHSA.net.

Buford will face Washington County in the final, scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 at the Georgia Dome.

The Wolves are the defending Class 3A champs, and winners of state titles in five of the past six seasons.
