Hundreds of Students Converge for 2014 Readers Rally

Around 100 teams will compete this weekend in the annual quiz bowl reading competition.

From a Gwinnett County Public Schools press release:

More than 100 teams are expected Saturday, March 8, at Berkmar High School in Lilburn for the 2014 Readers Rally, a popular quiz bowl reading competition.

Students from 61 elementary schools, 24 middle schools and 15 high schools will compete for spots in the Championship Readers Rally on Tuesday, March 18 at the GCPS TV Studios, located at the school system’s Instructional Support Center in Suwanee.

Four elementary schools and two high school and two middle school teams will qualify for the championship round.

The opening ceremonies this weekend begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.
