What Buford, Sugar Hill Restaurants Got 'A's?

Restaurant Inspections: The latest health checks of area eateries.

Here are the latest health inspections of some Buford and Sugar Hill restaurants, by the Gwinnett Health Department.


  • SUBWAY: The restaurant on Cumming Highway in Sugar Hill scored a "91/A" on July 23. The following violation was noted: Hot-held potentially hazardous foods not maintained above 135oF; no time controls/documentation in place. See temperatures marked '**'. Food reheated. Hot-held potentially hazrdous foods shall be maintained at a temperature of 135F or higher.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.

  • MOE'S SOUTHWEST GRILL: The restaurant on Mall of Georgia Boulevard scored a "100/A" on June 23.

  • CHUCK E. CHEESE'S: The restaurant on Mall of Georgia Boulevard scored a "93/A" on June 23. Among the violations noted: Correctly date-marked refrigerated, ready-to-eat, potentially hazardous foods not discarded within 7 days from the date of preparation. Sliced ham dated 7/14 not discarded after 7 days from preparation. Ham discarded. Refrigerated, potentially hazardous food shall be dated and kept no longer than 7 days.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
