By Robert Cook

This Friday marks the 50th anniversary of the one of the darkest days in the nation's history - the day that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 22, 1963.

There are many people across the country and here in Georgia who are old enough to remember where they were when they first heard the news and how they felt. Share your memories and thoughts with us about President Kennedy's assassination below in the comment box.

If you would prefer to blog about your memories of that tragic day in history, we'll gladly accept that too!

To share your thoughts, click "Blogs" in the main navigation bar above. Then, in the upper left-hand corner, click the "Start your own Blog" icon. You'll then be asked three things: to name your blog, to write a short description of the blog and to upload a thumbnail to appear on the account. Once you hit the "Create your blog" button, you'll be on your way to making your first blog post. It's that simple!
