Groundbreaking for Two SR 20 Projects Scheduled

The highway improvements will improve mobility in the area.

Groundbreaking for two highway improvement projects to improve mobility in the area has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, by the Gwinnett Department of Transportation.
State Route 20 will be widened from two to four lanes and a median added from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to the Chattahoochee River.
Also, the bridge over the river will be replaced to improve traffic flow between Sugar Hill and Cumming.
The groundbreaking ceremony will occur at Sugar Hill Church, 5091 Nelson Brogdon Boulevard and State Route 20 in Sugar Hill. Parking is limited, so car pooling is encouraged.
