A black passenger car was found partially inside the side of the garage of a home in the 2500 block of Trailing Ivy Way in Buford on Sunday, according to Gwinnett Police.

The investigation found that the vehicle was traveling toward the back of the neighborhood and struck a mailbox on the left side of the street. The vehicle then struck another mailbox on the same side of the roadway.

Then the vehicle re-entered the roadway and struck a tree on the right side of the roadway in the front yard of a resident's home.

After hitting the tree, the vehicle continued along the grass and eventually struck the side of the garage of the home next door.

The family was in the home at the time of the collision. No one from the family was injured.

At this time, no charges have been brought against the driver, police said. The investigation will continue into the cause of the incident.

Both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle were conscious and talking soon after the incident.
