Teen Charged in Connection With Buford Grad's Death

An 18-year-old Lawrenceville teen is facing vehicular homicide charges in connection with the Sept. 26 accident that resulted in the death of Devin Durden.

The teenage driver who reportedly caused the accident that resulted in fatal injuries to Buford High School graduate and football star Devin Durden has been arrested.

Caylie Edge, 18, of Lawrenceville, was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on Oct. 4 on charges of vehicular homicide and failure to yield. She was released a few hours later on a $32,450 bond according to jail records.

Durden was traveling on Highway 20 near Gravel Springs Road when a vehicle driven by Edge turned left in front of his motorcycle. Durden suffered numerous injuries including spinal damage which resulted in paralysis from his waist down. Durden passed away on Oct. 4.

Visitation and funeral services for Durden, 21, will be held this weekend.
