Man found bleeding from his throat and chest in the parking lot of Bogan Park on March 20.

A 57-year-old man who was found bleeding in the parking lot of Bogan Park died of self-inflicted wounds, according to police.

In an email to Buford Patch, Gwinnett County Police Department public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith said the death was "definitely a suicide."

Figueroa was unresponsive and, according to the police report, had a "large laceration on his throat and what appeared to be a stab wound in his chest." Figueroa was semi-conscious, but was unable to speak. He was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.

Police recovered a 6-inch knife in Figueroa's vehicle. The vehicle, which had a "substantial" amount of blood on both front seats of the vehicle, was impounded and processed by crime scene investigators.
