Pantless Woman Found Standing Alongside I-85

Woman was too intoxicated to give police clear account of how she got to the Hamilton Mill exit.

A motorist on I-85 called Gwinnett County Police in the early morning hours of Nov. 4 after noticing an unusual site on the exit ramp to Hamilton Mill Parkway -- a pantless woman.

When police arrived, they found the 52-year-old woman wearing a blue shirt, but no pants. One of the officers noticed the woman was standing on a pair of jeans and asked her to put on her pants. The woman said she had no pants. When the officer asked whose pants she was standing on, the woman said she did not know. She did, however, put the pants on and “seemed surprised that her keys were inside the front pocket.”

The investigating officer noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the woman and noted that she was “hysterical” and difficult to calm. After several attempts, the officer was able to obtain the woman’s name and get a partial account of what led the woman to be pantless alongside the interstate.

The woman told police she was at a bar and got a ride home from people she met there. Those people, the woman said, tried to rape her in the car. The woman said they were unsuccessful, but had grabbed at her and had thrown her out of the car while it was in motion when she resisted. The woman had no injuries and indicated she did not need to go to the hospital.
