Drugs Hidden in Car, but Not Well Enough

A Gwinnett County Police officer located a well-concealed bag of methamphetamine during a consent search.

It wasn't exactly a set nesting dolls, but a Buford man reportedly used a similar technique to conceal a bag of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

On March 25, a Gwinnett County Police officer investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle found Jason Scott Green, 33, of Buford, sitting in a Kia Spectra on Maddox Road. Green had parked the vehicle facing the wrong direction and had stopped approximately two feet from the curb.

When the officer asked Green what he was doing, Green reportedly said he was programming his new cell phone. A subsequent license check revealed Green was on probation.Β

"In the center console, I located a box of Turtle Wax headlight lens restorer," the officer wrote in the report. "I opened this box and found a cardboard pack of Marlboro cigarettes. Inside the cigarette box, I located a folded up empty nickel roll. I pulled the nickle roll out of the box. As I did, I felt something inside. I opened the nickel roller and looked inside. I saw a folded clear baggy. I removed the baggy from the roller. I unfolded the baggy, revealing a white powder crystalized substance consistent of methamphetamine."
