Gwinnett Sheriff's Deputies Conduct Warrant Sweep

During the operation 179 attempts to serve warrants were made, 42 warrants were cleared, and 34 persons were arrested.

Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 34 people during a Jan. 15 warrant sweep.

About 40 deputies in teams of two participated in a “warrant sweep,” according to Lt. Sean Smith, public information officer for the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office. There were approximately 381 outstanding warrants for 299 persons wanted. Some persons had more than one warrant/charge.

During the operation 179 attempts to serve warrants were made and 42 warrants were cleared, Smith reported in a media release.
