Girl Sustains Gash in Lake Lanier Accident
A girl is expected to recover following a boating accident Sunday.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is investigating a Lake Lanie boating accident that happened over the weekend.
According to the Gainesville Times, a teenage girl suffered a 16-inch cut on her left thigh Sunday when she was climbing into a boat from the stern.
Officials said that the boat was running, but was in neutral.

The Gwinnett County fire department responded to the accident, and the girl was then whisked to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, according to the news report.
