Falcons' Players Victims of Rent Check Fraud at Buford Apartments

Gwinnett police are looking for a suspect accused of forging rent checks of Julio Jones and Christopher Owens. Both men live at the same Buford apartment complex.

Gwinnett County police are searching for man they say is responsible for forging rent checks in the names of a current and former Falcons player.

The suspect is 29-year-old Corey Dajohn Moody, of Norcross. Police said the crimes happened at the Preserve at Mill Creek, where both wide receiver Julio Jones and former cornerback Christopher Owens both live in Buford, according to the AJC.

In one case, police say the suspect successfully cashed a fraudulent check of more than $1,200. There is now a warrant for Moody's arrest, the AJC also reported.
