Employee Arrested After Causing Disturbance at Local Restaurant

An employee of the Fish House Seafood Kitchen in Dacula, Ga. was apparently determined not to go quietly.

Gwinnett County Police were called to the Old Fountain Road restaurant on March 9 after an employee, Tad V. Tran, 27, of Johns Creek, Ga., reportedly used profanity in front of customers and dumped a bucket of water in the floor in the front part of the restaurant.

“When I arrived, I heard the employee at the door telling customers that they had an emergency and would not be able to serve any more people today,” the officer wrote in the arrest report.

The restaurant owner informed the officer she wanted Tran arrested and removed from the building. The officer attempted to discuss the issue with Tran, but, according to the police report, Tran “refused to listen and continued to talk very loud.”

The officer noted that Tran began using profanity that could be heard by customers nearby. At that point, the restaurant owner terminated Tran’s employment and issued a criminal trespass warning.

As the officer attempted to explain the criminal trespass warning, Tran allegedly continued to use profanity and yell at the restaurant owner.

Despite the officer’s efforts to calm Tran and get him to leave the premises, Tran failed to comply. The officer subsequently placed Tran under arrest for disorderly conduct and transported him to the Gwinnett County Jail.

Tran was released later that evening on a $135 bond.
