Bridal Store Burglarized, Door Still Locked When Police Arrive

Thief or thieves removed cash drawer from business.

A thief or thieves apparently managed to pry open the back door of a business without damaging the door or lock, according to a Gwinnett County Police report.

An officer was dispatched to Charme Bridal and Prom at 2725 Hamilton Mill Road in Buford shortly after 8 a.m. on Sept. 4 in response to an alarm call. The officer checked the doors to the business, but all appeared to be locked. The rear door of the shop had pry marks near the lock, but the door and frame were intact. The officer noted the door seemed loose, but was still secured.

The owner arrived a short time later and went inside to check the shop. The owner discovered the cash register was open and the drawer was missing. The man said the drawer contained $100 in cash.Β  Nothing else was taken.
