Body Found Facedown in Creek May Be Missing Buford Man
Family members say it was Scotty Maddox.
The dead body found in a wooded area near Buford Saturday was a local man who had been missing for a month, family members said.
Family and friends told WSB-TV Scotty Maddox had been missing for about a month when they found his body lying facedown in a creek off Sudderth Road in Buford.
The body hasn’t been officially identified, but Channel 2 reported it was found in an area where Maddox apparently had been running from police on March 3. An autopsy was expected to be finished Monday.
