They were seen stashing golf clubs, electronic equipment and other items in the bushes.

Gwinnett County Police have arrested three men who may be connected with recent burglaries and thefts in the Hamilton Mill area.

Jacorey Lewis, 20, of Dacula, and Darius Rouse, 20, and Jayson Gonsalves, 19, both of Buford, have been charged in an April 2 burglary on Coopers Mill Court, but Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Ed Ritter said there may be more charges as the investigation continues.

Ritter said the arrests are part of an investigation of burglaries, entering autos and thefts in Hamilton Hill.

On April 2 around 11:35 a.m., police responded to a call of suspicious people near Jim Moore Road and Mill Water Crossing. A witness said the men were hiding in the bushes with golf clubs, electronic equipment and other items. Police found the items stashed in the bushes, but the men were gone.

“Officers investigated further and found a home nearby at 3479 Coopers Mill Ct. had been burglarized,” Ritter said in an emailed press release. “Officers made contact with the owner of the home and discovered that the items taken from that burglary matched the description of the property found at Jim Moore Road and Mill Water Crossing.

"For the next several hours, officers continued to investigate and developed information that the suspects of this burglary and many others around the area may be staying or living at 3600 Jim Moore Road," Ritter reported.

The three men matched the description made by the witness and were detained. They face burglary charges and further questioning about the other crimes.
