This great event is a perfect mix of fall weather, homemade chili, cold beer, great entertainment, fun for the kids, classic cars, fire trucks, and firefighters displaying their skills in a fun-high powered competition!

Lake Lanier Islands Resort would like to recognize the men and women who give the gift of service to our community.  As a thank you, we would like to invite all Public Safety Personnel to be our guest and receive complimentary entry fee with valid agency identification at the gate on Saturday, November 3, 2012.  This offer is only valid per car and with proper identification.  An additional special offer for the kids will be available with a $5.00 donation to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, which includes a wristband for unlimited access to the KidsZone, featuring a Fire Truck Jumpy, 40 foot Obstacle Course and interactive kid’s challenge.

Founded in 1982, the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation is a registered Nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization whose goal is to help burn survivors in their journey of recovery as well as to prevent others from experiencing the trauma of a burn injury. The GFBF serves all of Georgia in its mission to partner with the fire service and burn care community to provide fire safety and prevention education, support medical facilities and assist burn survivors in their recovery.

Some of the GFBF’s programs and services include Camp Oo-U-La®, Georgia’s only camp for burn-injured children, burn survivor support groups, fire and life safety blitzes, burn survivor retreats, fire safety education and prevention grants for fire departments.
