Gwinnett Choral Guild to Hold Christmas Concert

The Gwinnett Choral Guild, along with guest ensemble, The Dacula HS Gold Women’s Chorus, will hold its annual Christmas concert, on Saturday, December 1st, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Buford Presbyterian Church, 1242 Buford Hwy., Sugar Hill, Ga.  The community is invited to celebrate the holidays with this song-filled evening of tradition conducted by James Williams, Artistic Director. This year’s theme, Christmas by Candlelight, is comprised of a treasury of choral music that includes:  Javier Busto’s Ave Maria, O Magnum Mysterium, This Christmastide, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, The Many Moods of Christmas, The Christmas Song, So Blest a Sight, Variations on ‘Jingle Bells’ and A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas.  General admission is $15 and $10 for seniors.  Tickets are available online at www.gwinnettchoralguild.org or at the door.    


Established in 1983, the Gwinnett Choral Guild is a volunteer community choir based in Gwinnet County.  Its members are singers from all walks of life and are bonded by a love for choral music.  The 501(c)3 non-profit organization is a member of ArtWorks Gwinnett, Chorus America, The Metropolitan Atlanta Arts and Culture Coalition, and the Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts.
