Hall County Hiring for Two Positions

Open positions include part-time help desk technician and heavy equipment services tech.

Hall County is hiring for the following positions: 

Job title: Heavy equipment services tech 
Job description: Performs semi-skilled work in lubricating and servicing heavy construction equipment, automobiles, trucks, tractors and other motorized and mechanical equipment; picks up and delivers parts and supplies for the garage. 
Qualifications: High school diploma, vocational school diploma or G.E.D. supplemented with coursework in auto mechanics. One year experience in heavy construction equipment maintenance or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the minimum level of qualifications stated above. Valid Class B Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record. POST certification required or ability to obtain within six months. Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, incumbents will be subject to random drug testing.

Job title: Help desk technician — part time 
Job description: Maintains and updates Information Technology Request Database (ticketing system). Assists computer users with basic questions regarding general desktop computer use and specific Microsoft Office Suite applications. Provides first contact technical support for help line to include end user support, software trouble shooting, and database requisitions. Answers problem inquiry calls from county staff in all departments regarding problems with and/or use of county computer system and database. 
Qualifications: High school diploma with one year diploma in information technology from a technical school preferred. One year of experience in computer user support through telephone/help desk and with Microsoft Office products. Any equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the above stated qualifications.
