Stolen Boat Found in Convicted Felon's Yard - Cartersville Patch

An Acworth man was arrested when a Bartow County sheriff's deputy on patrol spotted an allegedly stolen boat connected to a power source at his Glade Road home, Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a release from his Cartersville office.

The owner Jan. 9 reported the 26-foot SeaRay and a trailer stolen from a Staton Place yard. The next day, Jan. 10, a deputy on patrol reported seeing the boat at the home of Timothy Dean McClure, 49, of Glade Road in Acworth.

- Midtown Patch

One man is dead and another is in critical condition following a barrage of bullets at a strip center near the intersection of North Avenue and Boulevard early Tuesday morning.

According to WSB Radio, Atlanta police were responding to a 911 call concerning illegal gambling at the North Plaza strip center just south of Midtown when shots were fired. APD homicide unit commander Lt. Paul Guerrucci told WSB TV that many people were fleeing the parking lot as “at least 20 shots were fired” during the incident in which two men in their 20s were hit.

 - Cumming Patch

A 28-year-old man who was shot multiple times early Sunday morning in south Forsyth County is expected to recover, according to authorities.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the Twin Lakes RV Park located at 3300 Shore Drive, off Highway 9 in Cumming, just east of Majors Drive.
