Downtown Buford Restaurant Improves Score From 56 to 98

A look at the most recent restaurant inspections by the East Metro Health District.

The East Metro Health District is tasked with ensuring restaurant compliance with applicable health and safety regulations. The following restaurant scores are the most recent scores posted on the East Metro Health District website as of Jan. 22.

Observations and corrective actions:

  • Violation of Code: [.10(2)(g) ] Most current health inspection not posted at the time of the inspection. Person in Charge stated it was in the kitchen. Health inspection report posted at the time of the inspection. The most current inspection report shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, within fifteen feet (15') of the front or primary public door and between five feet (5') and seven feet (7') from the floor and in an area where it can be read at a distance of one foot(1') away.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
  • Violation of Code: [.05(7)(a)2,3 ] Grease/buildup on the cookline equipment. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris.  New Violation.
  • Remarks: Required additional inspection in 45-60 days from the last routine inspection. Ambient air temperature in the beer/drink cooler was 47F. Person in charge turned the cooler down. Missing disclosure/consumer advisory on the menus for the undercooked fried oyster po boys. Correct consumer advisory on all menus.

  • Violation of Code: [.04(6)(f) ] sausages and ham hot holding below 135F. Products discarded. All potentially hazardous foods must be hot held at 135F or above.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
