The United States Tennis Association is bringing the youth event to Dick's Sporting Goods in Buford on May 11.
The SmashZone Mobile Tour is coming to Buford. The United States Tennis Association (USTA) will bring the youth-centered event to Dick's Sporting Goods Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Began in 2011, SmashZone introduces the sport of tennis to children in an interactive way. It began as the premier fan interactive attraction at the U.S. Open, according to a news release. It has attracted more than 2 million people. To read more on the event, click here.

This is the 21st year for Stamp out Hunger!, a food drive conducted by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
The National Association of Letter Carriers will host its 21st annual nationwide Stamp Out Hunger! Food Drive Saturday, May 11. Customers can leave non-perishable food donations in a bag near their mailbox on Saturday, before their letter carrier arrives. Items of particular need include: Donations collected will be delivered to a local community food banks and food pantries for distribution. Last year, letter carriers collected more than 200,000 pounds of food in metro Atlanta. Since 1993, Stamp Out Hunger! has collected more than 1 billion pounds of food.
