Happy Thanksgiving to all our Patch friends!
As we promote healthy aging and Active Positive Lifestyles, we are always reminding seniors how important it is to stay connected with others. This helps to keep us each healthy and puts a smile on our face.
And Thanksgiving is a perfect day to share with others! However, we believe there are probably some seniors out there without family or friends with whom to spend the day...and perhaps even without financial resource to enjoy some turkey.
As we were “out 'n' about” in the senior community this week, several places asked us to spread the word about Thanksgiving meals available to seniors in need of either food or company on Thanksgiving Day. We would like to share that information here, in hopes that our readers will pass this on to any senior who could benefit from this information.
If any of you know of other offers available to seniors for Thanksgiving Day, please let us and our readers know.
Seniors eating alone on Thanksgiving Day--no way!
Positively yours,
Sheri and Bill

Thank you Ed! As champions of Active Positive Lifestyles and healthy aging for seniors, we are happy to pass on great info like this! And we also hope you will continue to follow us on the Patch and read some of our other blog articles such as http://duluth.patch.com/blog_posts/fall-senior-update-healthy-active-and-connected where we provided updates from the County at a recent Gwinnett Council for Seniors meeting.
