The first gallery show of the 2013 season at the Georgia Piedmont Arts Center (GPAC) in Auburn, went off without a hitch this past Satuday and Sunday.
There was great diversity of work and all skill leels were represented.
Guest judge, art education professional Sheri K. Huhn, made her selections on Friday and awards were revealed at the show opening on Saturday. Best of Show honors went to Harold Melton of Statham for his acrylic titled "Winter Eulogy". Two Dimensional awards went to John Saude of Lawrenceville (First Place) and Twyla Germain of Winder (Second Place). Three Dimensional awards went to Jo Cooper of Hoschton (First Place) and Bill Cooper of Hoschton (Second Place). Honorable mention awards were received by Myrna Trapp of Monroe, Jo Cooper of Hoschton, Josh McDonald of Athens and Rebecca Shreve of Winder. Chairman's Choice honors were presented to Mia Rodriguez of Braselton.
