Georgia Gives Day: 'A 24-hour, Flash Mob of Giving' Set for Dec. 6

Georgians join together for flash mob day of giving on Dec. 6
What: The Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) will hold its inaugural statewide day of giving – Georgia Gives Day – this Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012. The purpose of Georgia Gives Day is to bring the state together as one community and to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Georgia nonprofits within a 24-hour, flash mob of giving. One hundred percent of proceeds will go directly to participating nonprofits.
It only takes one action – visit www.GAgivesday.org and click if you care to give back to participating nonprofits in your local communities and throughout the state.

Who: More than 1,200 participating nonprofits across the state of Georgia are participating in this inaugural day of giving. Additionally, Gov. Nathan Deal, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Secretary of State Brian Kemp have vowed their support to Georgia Gives Day and encourage Georgians to give back to the nonprofits that have made a difference in their lives and community.
